IPL ACOUSTICS DESIGN PHILOSOPHY "Our aim is to supply you with top quality speaker kits at sensible prices" . IPL is a well respected company, which has been trading successfully for 17 years. We produce a comprehensive range of Transmission line, Hi-fi, and Audio-Visual speaker kits designed with sound quality as the highest priority. Rather than stock a wide range of drive units from many companies we have chosen to seek out and select high quality but sensibly priced units that are designed to sell, and perform well above their station. Believe me, there are as many expensive units out there, that have a poor or mediocre performance, as there are inexpensive ones with the same problem! .A few of our favourite examples of mid price units with excellent performance are; the SEAS H398 and H881 tweeters, the Morel MDT30s tweeter and MW144 bass unit, the New Hi Vi D6.8 6.5" double magnet bass unit, the IPL 5" 130SH. More recently we have been most impressed with the latest range of Magnesium and Kevlar coned units (look at the feedback in the letters section, that is just starting to arrive on the 5"and 6" Magnesium units feedback on IPL speakers) and the Fountek and RT1.3Ribbon tweeters imported from China. These are units which have been genuinely researched and achieve outstanding sound quality at modest prices. Unfortunately there are many imports that are not so good and we have boxes and boxes of unusable speaker units to prove it! Once the units have been selected, extensive quality control is required to ensure a consistent and reliable product (IPL constantly reject units that do not comply with specification) All kits are designed with the very latest test equipment to give superior phase characteristics and a flat acoustic response. Silver PTFE insulated cable is available for internal wiring.
