IPL M3M
The M3M is a very high quality 11 litre speaker using the superb IPL5M magnesium cone bass unit , with its cast chassis, light but very stiff cone and large shielded magnet system, and the excellent SEAS H398 25mm aluminium dome tweeter . This speaker has been designed with an exceptionally smooth response to complement any high quality system (including the M3M centre speaker), and has a ruler flat response extending from 37htz right through to 20khtz. The M3M has a very sturdy cabinet made from 18 and 22mm MDF , a double flared port, and is internally lined with profiled foam. The second order crossover uses high quality polypropylene IPL capacitors, High powered inductors and resistors, has provision for bi-wiring, using the CP4Ls supplied with the plus kit. The M3Ms make excellent Hi-Fi Monitors as well as AV speakers. The Bass inductors are the superb IPL Steel Laminate Cored low resistance inductors giving a superior bass quality with these metal units.
The sound quality of this speaker is large scale providing a clean, clear sound and a smooth but dynamic presentation with no listener fatigue. There is provision to adjust the treble and the M3Ms (because of there excellent bass response can be used as main as well as rear speakers, or if you wish for more bass extension you can use one of the IPL range of Transmission lines (the M3tlm uses the same drive unit configuration and crossover.) Plus and total kits now include the CP4L gold terminal/crossover panel
