The SW6 TI is a large 60 litre active subwoofer with an exceptional performance delivering superbly controlled and extended low bass. This is possible because of equalisation built into the crossover circuit. The 1400 watt downward firing 15" TI bass unit has a large magnet, a stiff moisture resistant DPC cone strong rubber surround, high Qts, and a very long throw, The TI range have been individually tested and selected by IPL and have been engineered especially for Subwoofer use, The combination of the 300 watt SW6 amp and the 15" TI unit in a massively heavy 25mm MDF 60 litre cabinet , give a truly exceptional effortless performance suitable for both music and AV use.
The powerful SW6 300 watt rms SAM 300D amplifier/crossover unit exhibits cool silent and powerful but economical operation.. It also incorporates;- adjustable frequency contouring (with crossover points between 40 and 200 hz), Variable phase control, low level inputs, both mono and stereo, (for outputs from Home Cinema amps, and Stereo pre-amps) and high level inputs suitable for use from the speaker terminals of a stereo integrated amplifier. The amp automatically senses the signal, shutting down when not in use. This unit gives complete versatility with Home Cinema and Stereo systems. The superbly extended but controlled bass this unit gives is only achieved in the very best commercial subwoofers costing 3-4 times the price.

The total kit includes a very solid flat-pack 25mm MDF cabinet which can be veneered (2 rolls MV1 reqd) sprayed or covered in black ash Venelia. The SW6 is very simple to build and can be completed in a day. The unit comes complete with mains input lead,. Low level input is via gold phono sockets. high level via 4mm plugs or spade connectors.
