IPL AVR2 Mk2
The AVR2 is a very high quality 11 litre speaker using the superb 200watt 5" shielded Morel double magnet Dpa cone bass unit (the MW144) and the excellent SEAS H881 27mm textile dome tweeter with rear chamber and SONOTEX surround.. This speaker has been designed with an exceptionally smooth response to complement any high quality system (including the AVC2 centre speaker), and has a flat response extending from 37htz right through to 20khtz. The AVR2 which uses one of the finest shielded units available has a very sturdy cabinet made from 18 and 22mm MDF , a double flared port, and is internally lined with profiled foam. The second order crossover network uses high quality polypropylene IPL capacitors, High powered inductors and resistors, has provision for bi-wiring, using the CP4L connection panel supplied with the plus kit. The AVR2s make excellent Hi Fi Monitors as well as AV speakers
The sound quality of this speaker is large scale providing a clean clear sound and a smooth but dynamic presentation with no listener fatigue. There is provision to adjust the treble to suit your system which is essential, because of variations in Hi Fi and AV equipment. The AVR2s (because of their excellent bass response can be used as main and rear speakers, or can be combined with one of the IPL range of Transmission lines as main speakers (the M3tl uses the same drive unit configuration and crossover.) Plus and total kits now include the CP4L gold terminal/crossover panel
