IPL AVC4 SHIELDED CENTRE SPEAKER
The AVC4 is a 20 litre ported centre speaker using 2 superb quality Morel MW144 double magnet bass units with 75mm voice coil and hexatech windings ensuring high power handling and very low distortion, and the excellent SEAS H623 aluminium dome tweeter with very strong Neodymium magnet and very linear frequency response. Both units are magnetically shielded
The AVC4 is designed for use in the very best of AV system where a high quality unit with exceptionally wide bandwidth (bass below 38htz!) and very low distortion is required. The sound quality is smooth, clean, detailed and entirely natural allowing full enjoyment of both films and music. The ultra-light Titanium Dome gives a speed and delicacy which ensures compatibility with the best of systems. As with other IPL speakers there is provision to adjust the treble level using a specified resistor. The Crossover has been designed to give a very linear response and good on axis phase characteristics, and uses high quality IPL polypropylene capacitors, super power inductors, and high power resistors.

Special Attention has been paid to the cabinet which is sturdily constructed in 22mm MDF, using two deflex panels on the inside base of the cabinet to scatter sound energy, and profiled acoustic foam on the inside top and rear. The Port is double flared to ensure smooth airflow and superb extended bass performance. This speaker can be used horizontally as a centre speaker, but can also be used vertically as main and rear speakers if so desired.
