The new S4TL is a full size transmission line using the superb new IPL/8/K advanced Kevlar/paper 8" unit with its high sensitivity, smooth response, large shielded magnet system and strong die-cast chassis ) and the superb IPL/Fountek CD3.0 Ribbon. (as used in flagship speakers costing in excess of £8000!) These two drivers have been engineered to give a very fine speaker with a near textbook response, combining high sensitivity with low distortion and excellent dynamic range. The resulting sound is impressive, with huge scale and superb midrange and treble detail, the S4tl exceeds the performance of speakers costing many times the price. The sound is clean detailed ,dynamic and open whilst remaining smooth and natural with an extended but well controlled bass response. The latest version of this kit features the new box design with larger coupling cavity and smoother bass response.
The Bi-wired crossover is 2nd order at 3.1khz and uses high quality IPL polypropylene Supersound and MKP capacitors, Best quality Steel laminate inductors and high power resistors. The S4tl is a triple folded line using Profiled Acoustic foam and a small quantity of Long Haired Wool for damping the line .The treble and mid outputs are fully adjustable to give the right balance for your system and room. Plus kit now includes Gold Bi-wired terminal crossover panel. Each CD3.0 ribbon tweeter is tested for response and is both pair matched and matched with the Kevlar bass units.
